The West Kootenay Camera Club’s (WKCC) photo show will be opening at the Kootenay Gallery of Art on May 23 and run until June 2.

The display will feature judged photo entries from WKCC members, as well as non-members. The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Non-members of the WKCC are invited to enter their photos and join in the fun. This year’s categories are: Nature, Human Interest, Places, Creative, and Open. These categories and their definitions, as well as the photo show rules and the entry form can be found at westkootenaycameraclub.com.

The deadline to enter the show is Saturday, April 27. If you are considering entering, please be sure to check the website for all the information that you will need.

The public is encouraged to visit the Photo Show on Sunfest weekend (May 31 to June 2) as visitors get to vote for the People’s Choice, and can also enter to win the Loonie Prize — a beautiful framed print to take home.

If you have never been to the Kootenay Gallery of Art, the Photo Show would be a good time to make it happen. The people who run the gallery are very welcoming, and you will enjoy the display. You may also see photos that were entered by people you know.
