The City of Castlegar and the Castlegar Community Response Network have launched a questionnaire aimed at seniors as part of the Age-Friendly Castlegar initiative.

The program is being funded by a Union of British Columbia Municipalities grant and will cover an age-friendly assessment and an action plan for the city.

The goal is to create a more age-friendly city through consultation with seniors, their caregivers and service providers.

Information gained from the surveys will help determine needs and priorities in the city.

The questionnaire is straightforward, asking what supports and activities a person is aware of and what activities or supports are missing in the community.

Questionnaires are available at castlegar.ca, City Hall, the Castlegar Community Complex and local pharmacies.

For more information send an email to agefriendly@castlegar.ca.
