Ann Marken (nee Fedosoff) passed away peacefully on Thursday March 28th, 2024 at the Kimberley Special Care Home, in Kimberley, BC.
Ann (nee Fedosoff) was born on July 25, 1925 in Pass Creek (Kartoshnaya).
Ann worked as a nurse's aid at the Castlegar Hospital during the 1950's and 60's. She was a proud homemaker, and operated a successful home-based business in Kimberley called the "Borscht Bowl".
Ann enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, baking, gardening, making Doukhobour shawls and outfits, and singing in Doukhobour choirs. She was always full of energy, telling jokes, and extending a big hug to everyone she met.
Ann is survived by her Grandchildren: Bruce Postnikoff & his wife, Chris, Jeff Postnikoff & his wife, Lisa. Six great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-granddaughters. Many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her parents, William and Nellie Fedosoff, her brothers,
Bill, Alex and Mike Fedosoff, her sister Helen Popoff. Her husbands, Mike Kanigan and Walter Marken and her children, Eileen Postnikoff and Mike Kanigan.
There will be a service for Ann at the Pass Creek Cemetery on Saturday, April 13th at 11am. Everyone is welcome.
