It is with our great honor to send off our beautiful Mom to meet her Heavenly Father. Diana Lorraine Pilla (Wakeham) passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. She was 81 years of age.
Diana, youngest of two daughters, was born October 24, 1942, in Victoria, BC to Bill and Dorothy Wakeham. On October 6, 1962, Diana married James Leo Pilla. They lived in beautiful BC but spent the majority of their married years in Castlegar, where they raised their 3 children, Darren, Grant and Wendy.
Diana worked in the banking industry, most of her career was 19 years at the Credit Union as a personal loan's clerk in the latter years. She was a member of the CWL for almost 53 years, some of those years as president while she lived in Quesnel.
She served wholeheartedly, impacting many lives with her faith, love and compassion. One of Mom's greatest gifts was her gift of hospitality; anyone was welcome for a hot cup of something, a homemade meal and some goodies, surrounded by abounding kindness.
Diana will be lovingly remembered by her 3 children, Darren Pilla ( wife Nicole), Grant Pilla (wife Elaine), and Wendy Delcourt ( husband Grant); her 7 grandchildren, Megan, James, Allyshia, Craig, Eric, Hannah and Madison; her 5 great-grandchildren, Rosie, Lucius, Tobias, Nathaniel and Abbey; her beautiful sister, Barbara Wade and endless extended family and friends.

Diana's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 10th from 12:30-2:30 pm at St. Rita's Hall at 513, 7th Avenue Castlegar.
