Dorothy was born on August 7, 1930, in Cranbrook, BC, and grew up in Nelson. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 14, 2023.
She was predeceased by two sons, Thomas Randy and Lee James.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Rudy, and children Brett (Ronnalee), Sharleen (Al), Clay (Stacie) and Darcy (Toni); grandchildren Lee, Lindsey, Shaine, Brittani, Alyssa, Ashlee, Ethan, Nolan and Brody; and great-grandsons Mason, Keane and Adam.
Dorothy loved playing, coaching and watching sports and she excelled at basketball, track & field and swimming. Many weekends were enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends.
A service will be held at the Castlegar United Church on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Forever in our thoughts and prayers.
