A special plant sale will be hosted by the Castlegar Garden Club on Mother’s Day, May 12 at Castlegar’s Station Museum from 9 a.m. to noon.

“This will be a one-of-a-kind special sale, for anyone who enjoys gardening,” says organizer Darlene Kalawsky.

The sale will include vegetable starts, annuals, perennials and garden memorabilia.

Castlegar’s garden club is known for its great quality and selection of plants so there will be lots to choose from, but plants tend to sell quickly.

For creative types, the club is hosting a hanging basket workshop from 10 a.m. to noon where you can design an amazing hanging basket for yourself or that very special someone.

All materials are supplied including plants, planters and advice. The cost to participate in the workshop is $40. Supplies are limited.

Refreshments are available and Garden Club members will be around to answer your questions.
