Trail RCMP responded to a single motor vehicle incident on Highway 3B, near Rossland at around 5 p.m. on Friday, June 23.
According to an RCMP release, a 30-year-old Grand Forks man fell asleep at the wheel of a Grand Forks ambulance and drove off the right side of the highway.
The man was not injured, but his passenger, a 50-year-old Midway woman, reportedly received minor injuries.
The police said that two patients in the ambulance did not receive any injuries.
There was minor damage to the ambulance as a result of the incident.
The RCMP notified BC EHS about the incident,
says Trail detachment commander Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.
